What course inspires you the most ?
Well, talking about the first semester of my 2nd year as a med student, I can only think about Anatomy.

Ok, yeah, I studied Anatomy last year and
it was about digestive, respiratory and sexual organs... Meh!... But
this semester it was really different and surprising, "The Anatomy Of The Brain" what an attractive name !! (and the exam was a piece of cake hamdoulilAllah :D)
Therefore, I want to share with you
Brothers and Sisters, some of the funny and interesting facts about the brain.
Weight : About 1.5 Kg and represent 2% of the body weight.
Water : The brain is made up of about 75% water (yeah, just like the whole body :-P )
Unconsciousness : When a brain loses blood for 8-10 seconds, the person will lose consciousness.
No pain : There are no pain receptors in the brain. The brain can feel no pain. ("wut?" ? I know... :-P )
Brain never sleeps : Measuring your brainwave activity won't show any drop off when you're asleep.
Yes, your brain is workaholic so you don't wake up dead. :-D
Newborn brain : A newborn brain grows about three times its size in the first year.
Creating false memories : Brain find it very easy to create false memories... "The make up you used to put when we were in high school was really nice" "what ? I don't wear make up O_o" ... Good luck ! Heh !
Reading faces : We, humans, are able to determine if someone angry, happy or sad just by reading faces. How ? There is a small area in the Brain called Amygdala wich is responsible for the ability to read someone's face without any words.
